Sisters of the Presentation of Mary - Province of Manchester

Marie Rivier Association

Lay people want to share our spirituality

in order to better live their vocation to holiness

and their mission of evangelization

while remaining in their own state of life.

The Association offers its members:

  • support in the life of faith and the apostolic mission;
  • privileged times of gathering for prayer, sharing the Word, mutual listening and mutual help;
  • deepening of their interior life in union with Mary according to the spirituality of Marie Rivier;
  • prayerful support of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.

During the past few years, numerous groups of lay people have become associated to religious Congregations with whom they have a spiritual affinity.  As regards the Presentation of Mary, Lay Associates have multiplied since the beatification of Marie Rivier, on May 23, 1982.  Groups emerged spontaneously after this event, bringing to light the vitality of the gift made to the Church through the Foundress of the Congregation.  At present, groups of Associates to Presentation of Marie exist in thirteen countries.
