Marie Rivier Association

The Marie Rivier Association provides an opportunity for women and men to share in the spirituality and mission of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, according to the spirit of their foundress, Blessed Marie Rivier. It challenges its members to live their Christian vocation to holiness and their mission of evangelization in the Church, while remaining in their present state of life.

Associates meet once a month in small local groups to deepen their knowledge of Blessed Marie Rivier, her life, her congregation and her particular mission as well as to apply this spirit in their daily lives. After a period of initiation and formation, they are invited to make a commitment which is renewed annually.

The commitment consists of:

  • deepening one's faith by reading and praying the Word of God,

  • making a place for prayer in one's daily life,

  • consecrating some time to adoration insofar as possible,

  •  honoring Mary by praying her daily,

  • accepting an apostolic task,

  • being concerned with the poor

  • attending the monthly meetings.

The Associates form a spiritual bond with the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary without any reciprocal obligation of a legal, financial or canonical nature. They are invited to times of spiritual renewal and to celebrations with the Community. They are assured of the prayerful support of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.
